I went to the Aquatennial Fireworks for the third year in a row. Most of the viewers head out to the Stone Arch Bridge to watch the show. My friends and I went to the middle of the bridge barely making it in time. As usual, I used slash techniques to use the fireworks as a way of drawing and painting with light. Sometimes, the way that the color diffuses, it reminds me of water color. I've also tried to use these techniques to write and draw. The first year, I simply moved the camera. I went to the Mayday Parade and Festival. It is a celebration of spring and the Earth. There tends to be a bit of a "we are ruining Mother Earth but can still save her" expression. Many people show up to this event. I took a series of images of the parade and a few of the people waiting for the main event. I did not capture much of the Tree of Life ceremony due to seating.
